Overview of CNC Machine Training

In addition to the fact that manufacturing plays a key role in many industries, it has a direct impact on the economy. Although automated machinery is used in manufacturing, for the most part this remains a very hands-on industry. Because of this, highly qualified technicians, operators, and engineers are essential.

One of the most highly used pieces of machinery is known as Computerized Numerical Control or CNC, which builds things from the ground up through the use of computers.   • A person can prepare for acquiring credentials from the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS), which is highly respected. Some areas of preparation are measurement, safety, CNC turning, materials, bench work, CNC operating turning, and milling.
  • CNC machine training also covers an introduction to Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software
